3rd Annual Race to Save the Mill on October 11th

New Hampshire’s best little race returns! Day-of registration will begin at 10am on Saturday, October 11th.

The Race to Save the Mill raises money to help restoration efforts at Hinkson’s Carding Mill, an 1823 mill on the banks of Mill Brook in East Grafton. (History of the mill can be found here.) Listed to the New Hampshire Register of Historic Places, the carding mill needs extensive stabilization before it can become home to a fully operational cider mill. Thanks to the income generated from past races, the carding mill is fully stabilized and ready for installation of (already milled) posts and beams. Your contributions truly make a difference!

Registration costs $15 and includes a delicious lunch of soups, sandwiches and desserts. Specially-designed tee shirts are available for an additional $10. Additional donations are gratefully accepted.

Two courses offer runners a flat 5K option or a hillier 8K option (this route includes spectacular views of Mt. Cardigan).
